Teenager Chad, also known as Yasutora Sado, grew up in Karakura Town. He attends Karakura High School, where Ichigo Kurosaki is a student. Sado was born in Okinawa, Japan, but when he was a young child, his parents moved him to Mexico. When he was eight years old, Oscar Joaqun de la Rosa adopted Sado after they both passed away. It is presumed that he is Sado’s grandfather because he is referred to in his writings as “Abuelo.”

Mexican teenager Sado is a teen. His dark skin and brown eyes are generally hidden by his wavy brown hair. He is a tall, powerful man who appears much older than he actually is. Sado has a tattoo that reads “Amore e Morte” (love and death) and has a heart with a serpent and angel wings surrounding it on his left shoulder. He typically wears his school uniform or flashy short-sleeved shirts with open collars. He is wearing a long-sleeved black blouse with a rose embroidered on the left arm. Sado has grown a small beard on his chin since his encounter with Aizen seventeen months ago.

Sado is a quiet person who occasionally encounters bullying or taunting because he never defends himself. But his Karakura friends still speak to him in the same way. Sado can only find two things cuter than tiny critters and a cuddly Kon. Sado placed 11th out of 322 students at Karakura High School, exhibiting his remarkable intelligence. Sado is a dedicated person. He gives his best friend, Ichigo, a lot of love and devotion. He even attempted to engage in combat with a Gotei 13 captain in order to go rescue Ichigo. He is courageous as well, as several of his enemies have informed him, including the first Hollow he encounters.
